It seems like AspenBio Pharma (NASDAQ:APPY) is being talked about on just about every corner down Wall Street, and not without merit [see company description below]. We first wrote a report entitled “Is AspenBio Pharma Next To Follow In The Footsteps Of Dendreon (DNDN) and Human Genome Sciences (HGSI)?” on April 21st, and since then, the share price has gained more than $1.10, going from $2.65 to $3.74, and reaching a high of $4.00, which is near the 200 DMA. The latest developments have several well known sources indicating that a partnership, or even a high profile takeover, could be in store for AspenBio. “No other such test exists. A test for appendicitis has the potential to revolutionize emergency medicine, decrease unnecessary surgeries, reduce costs and save many lives,” says Sean Lavin, a medical doctor and analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. Chelsea Therapeutics Shares Fly on Hypotension Drug Trials Promise
Biopharmaceutical company Chelsea Therapeutics International (Nasdaq:CHTP) soared 30% in morning trading on Monday based on the preliminary results of its phase III study of Northera, a drug used to treat the symptoms of a disease that causes a debilitating drop in blood pressure upon standing.
