KLLJ Investments submits: The nice thing about being a bad Wall Street analyst, is nobody knows how bad you are until your call goes terribly wrong. Often times, there are more forces at work to bring about a poor recommendation. I’m not saying that is necessarily the case here, but you have to wonder. My local weatherman is usually more accurate about my 10-day forecast than a majority of the Wall Street analysts out there. What is unfortunate is how much an upgrade or downgrade can impact the short term trend of a security, especially when those recommendations are based on little, if any research. Many investors look to the Analysts as being experts in the firms they cover and those analysts who fail to live up to their duty as an independent auditor of sorts for those companies do a disservice to their profession.Complete Story » seekingalpha.com |
