Vivus Rallies on Positive Results for Obesity Drug
Vivus (Nasdaq: VVUS) said Tuesday that it achieved positive results from a two-year study of Qnexa Controlled Release Capsules, an investigational therapy for the treatment of obesity, a condition that affects approximately one-third of adult Americans. The second part of the study included 675 obese or overweight patients, all of whom had two or more weight-related diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, and an average baseline body mass index (BMI) of 36.1. People with normal weight have a BMI of between 18.5–24.9.Complete Story » seekingalpha.com |
