Zacks.com submits: AstraZeneca (AZN) recently faced a pipeline setback with one of its oncology candidates, Recentin (cediranib). The company announced results from a phase III study (HORIZON II) which was conducted to test Recentin's first-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).While Recentin met one of the primary endpoints, which was improvement in progression-free survival, the candidate failed to show an improvement in overall survival.
