Martek Biosciences Beats Estimates on Surging Sales
Zacks.com submits: Martek Biosciences Corporation’s (MATK) third-quarter fiscal 2010 earnings (excluding special items) of 38 cents per share surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 2 cents and the year-ago earnings by 11 cents. On a reported basis (including special items), the company earned 35 cents per share in the reported quarter as against 27 cents in the year-ago quarter. The higher earnings in the reported quarter were driven by a surge in sales.
